We are on a mission to bring the love of Jesus to children, helping them take one-step-forward in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our Sunday morning curriculum is The Gospel Project which leads children on a Christ-centered, chronological journey through the Bible. Children will discover how the gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation.
Sunday Mornings
-
9:30 & 11:00 am Services
Faithful volunteers provide a safe and warm environment for infants, crawlers, and walkers, introducing them to love of Christ through songs and Bible readings.
Ages: 0 - 36 months
-
9:30 & 11:00 am Services
Building a foundation of biblical literacy and an understanding of God’s great love, young children play, sing songs of worship, and hear teaching from the Bible. With the gospel message central to our lessons, classes work chronologically from Genesis through Revelation over the course of three years.
Ages: 3 to 5-years-old, including all kindergartners
-
9:30 am Service
Elementary-aged children are encouraged to worship with their parents in the 2nd service, if possible.
Our Elementary classes begin with a large group gathering, which is led by our Director of Children’s Ministries. Students are taught a short message that ties to the weekly sermon being given to the church at large. This time together also includes group prayer and worship. The gospel message is at the heart of all that we teach, praying the students would experience God’s love and put their trust in Jesus.
As with our Preschool classes, our Elementary classes are taught God’s Word chronologically from Genesis through Revelation over the course of three years. Under the care of faithful volunteers, children learn alongside their same-age peers, developing meaningful relationships as they grow in Christ.
Ages: 1st - 5th grade students

At Immanuel Church, we celebrate that all people are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image and for a unique purpose. Out of a desire to ensure all children feel welcomed and included within our ministry, we offer a support system of trained teachers who are well-equipped to meet the needs of children with varying ability levels and limitations.
During our first service, we provide a safe and supportive classroom environment through which all children receive adaptive resources and rich teaching of God’s Word. While we offer the option of our self-contained special needs classroom, our first aim is to provide the necessary accommodations that would allow all children to thrive in the general classroom alongside supportive same-aged peers.
In addition to our inclusive Sunday school classes, Immanuel has also created an intentional space for families who need a less stimulating area for worship that is glassed in at the back of the Sanctuary. Our elevator also welcomes those with physical limitations to access both our basement classrooms and upper balcony areas. It is our desire to support all families as they grow in Christ together.
Psalm 139:13-14, For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Sunday Evening Activities
K-5th Grade | September - May
Our Sunday evening programming begins with an open invitation to join us for dinner in the Court from 4:45 - 5:30 pm!
Kids’ Club begins at 5:30 and concludes at 7:00 pm. Our vision for Sunday evenings is to see children grow deeper in their faith and in their relationships with one another. We accomplish this through engaging large group worship, lessons from God’s Word, small group connections, and fun games!
Volunteer Opportunities
Our Children’s Ministry is growing! As a result, we are always in need of additional volunteers to serve our children and their families. If you would like to volunteer with us please fill out the form below.
Please note that we require all volunteers to demonstrate a long-term dedication to the Immanuel Church community, pass our extensive background check, and consistently demonstrate a lifestyle of Christ-likeness.
Child Check-in
Please stop by the check-in counter in the Children's Ministry area and check-in your child. We will provide you with a parent and child tag that helps us; know who is actively within the Children's area, ensure children are released to the correct individuals, and know who to contact if we need to reach you.
Health & Safety
In order to join us, all children need to be fully registered through our Planning Center system. It is through this database that we are notified of parent contact information, age of your child, and any pertinent allergies or concerns you would like us to know.
For any Children’s Ministry drop-off activity, please stop by one of our check-in counters to print a matching sticker for you and your child. Parents will need to show their matching tags in order to pick up their child at the end of the program. Our tag system is a security measure that helps us know who is actively with us, ensure children are released to the correct individuals, and know who to contact if we need to reach you.
It is our policy that both volunteers and children need to be healthy and fever free for at least 24 hours before joining us for our Children’s Ministry gatherings, so please ensure that your child is healthy prior to joining our classes. As a safety measure, our classroom doors remain locked during Sunday programming and are under the care of a minimum of two non-related teachers at all times. Our extensively vetted volunteers are routinely trained on how to handle emergency situations should one arise.
FAMILIES GROWING TOGETHER IN CHRIST
In keeping with Immanuel’s mission to help people take one step forward in their relationship with Jesus Christ, our goal is to equip and support parents as the lead disciple makers of their children. As a collaboration between Children’s Ministry and EIKON Student Ministry, Rooted is seeking to walk with families faithfully raising their children into adulthood and maturity in Christ. (Deuteronomy 6:1-9)
At Rooted events, families will grow deeper in their relationships with the Lord, while making meaningful connections with each other and the Immanuel Church family at large through:
teaching on relevant topics, worship, & prayer
whole-family volunteer activities
social events for all ages
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6-7
