What is your next step?

Our mission at Immanuel Church is to help you take one-step-forward with your relationship with Jesus Christ. When thinking about your next step, consider these three areas: celebrating the person of God, connecting to the people of God, and contributing to the priorities of God. Maybe your next step is attending a worship service on Sunday morning, or maybe it's time to join a small group, or serve others through your talents and abilities.

Understand that a relationship with the God who created and loves you is broken because of sin. (Romans 3:23 and John 3:16-17)

Realize and confess that God needs to have first priority in your life and ask Him to forgive your failures and sins. (Romans 6:23 and 2 Corinthians 5:21)

Believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son, that He died to pay for your sins, and that He rose again and is alive today. (Romans 5:8 and 1 Peter 3:18)

Accept God's free gift of salvation as opposed to trying to earn it. (Ephesians 2:8-9 and Titus 3:5)

We believe baptism is a public expression of the personal decision to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. It is a pledge of loyalty, a commitment to follow and serve Jesus Christ. Baptism is symbolic of salvation, not an act of salvation itself. We believe that only those who have expressed personal faith in Jesus Christ should be baptized.

Church Membership

Becoming a Christian means committing yourself to Christ. Becoming a church member means committing to other Christians. It is a commitment to serve, encourage, and love one another. (John 13:34-35)
