Operation Christmas Child & Packing Party

As a church, we are partnering with the ministry of Operation Christmas Child again this year! The goal of the Operation Christmas Child ministry by Samaritan’s Purse is to engage with families around the globe through these gifts and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You can learn more about the ministry at samaritanspurse.org

WAYS TO VOLUNTEER:

  1. Join us for our Operation Christmas Child Packing Party on Sunday, November 16th, between 5:30 and 6:00 pm. In keeping with the mission of Rooted Family Ministry, parents are invited to join their K-12th grade children in serving to build boxes during our evening programming in our lower level. General church community members will be helping to organize boxes on the main floor.

  2. As an official Samaritan’s Purse Drop Site, we are in need of volunteers to be present for 2 - 3 hour blocks between November 17th and November 24th. Please consider signing up for one or more of the available volunteer time slots here.

WAYS TO GIVE:

  1. Take one or more of the empty boxes on our O.C.C. display table, fill it, and return it. You can see suggestions for how to fill a box on their website.

  2. Donate toward our goal of filling 400 boxes at our O.C.C. Packing Party! We are targeting boys aged 2 to 4-years-old for this project and have created a detailed shopping list that needs to be funded. Give online HERE.
