What is Baptism?

At Immanuel, we believe that baptism is an outward expression of an individual's faith in Jesus Christ. We follow Jesus' example in Matthew 3, and baptize by immersion.

There is nothing sanctifying about the water in which one is baptized, but rather the act of being baptized signifies the burial of Christ and His resurrection on the third day.

How does it work?
