What's your next step?

The statement that guides our ministry is: Helping People Take One-Step-Forward in Their Relationship with Jesus Christ.  So the question we hope you ask and we hope to help you answer is: What is your next step?  We believe there are three broad areas that serve as a baseline for every follower of Christ: Celebrating the person of God, Connecting to the people of God, and Contributing to the priorities of God.   When considering your next step, most of us can find an area in each of these categories that will allow us to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.   Again, the question is:  What is your next step?  We aim to help you take it.

Believing & Initial Next Steps

  • Salvation

    • Understanding that a relationship with the God who created and loves me is broken because of sin. (Romans 3:23; John 3:16-17)
    • Realizing and confessing that God needs to have first place in my life and asking him to forgive my failures and sins. (Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:21)
    • Believing that Jesus Christ is God's Son; that He died to pay for my sins; and that He rose again and is alive today.  (Romans 5:8; 1 Peter 3:18)
    • Accepting God's free gift of salvation as opposed to trying to earn it.  (Ephesians 2: 8-9; Titus 3:5)

  • Baptism

We believe that baptism is a public expression of our personal decision to accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. It is a pledge of loyalty, a commitment to follow and serve Jesus Christ. It is symbolic of salvation, not an act of salvation itself. Since it is a symbol, we believe that only those who have expressed personal faith in Jesus Christ should be baptized. • Membership

While becoming a Christian means to commit yourself to Christ, becoming a church member means to commit yourself to other Christians. It's a commitment to a specific group of believers where you can practice the "one another" responsibilities we have toward each other. (John 13:34-35).

If you are interested in membership, let us know by contacting the church office.
